HIS EXCELLENCY, SEN UBA SANI(CON), THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KADUNA STATE, HAS APPOINTED MUSA GAMBO ILLALLAH AS ACCOUNTANT GENERAL
In his continuous efforts to entrench prudence and effectiveness, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani(CON), has appointed Gambo Musa Illallah (FCNA, ACCrFA) as substantive Accountant General, charged with the responsibility of maintaining financial records of Kaduna State Government.
Until his new appointment which takes immediate effect, Illallah was Director Treasury Operations Office of the Accountant General Kaduna State.
An alumnus of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani(CON) implores the new Accountant General to bring his varied wealth of experience, spanning the private and public sectors, to bear on the enforcement of financial regulations and transparency in managing the funds of Kaduna State Government.
A certified National Accountant(CAN) and a member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria(ANAN), Gambo Musa Illallah is also member of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Certified Fraud Investigation Of Nigeria, as well as various professional bodies.
The new Accountant General of Kaduna State obtained both his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi. He also bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
Gambo Musa Illallah also attended some courses at the prestigious National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies(NIPS), Kuru.
An indigene of Jemaá Local Government, the Accountant General began his illustrious career as a clerical officer with ILCO(Nig) Limited in his hometown Kafaanchan in 1983. From 1988 to 1995, he was an Accountant with Zuma(Nig) Limited and thereafter, he joined the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture(Forestry Division), a World Bank Assisted Project, as Accountant II.
In his civil service career, Musa Gambo Illallah held different positions in Kaduna State Government. He was Accountant I, Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources, Forestry II Division – A World Bank Assisted; Accountant, Kaduna State Forestry Management Projects and Divisional Accountant at the Ministry of Education (Rigachikun Inspectorate Division Kaduna).
Musa Illallah was Zonal Accountant at the Ministry of Land, Survey & Country Planning (Zaria Zonal Office) from 2013 to 2016. Thereafter, he became an Assistant Director (Finance & Account) at the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) from 2016 – 2019. He also held the position of Deputy Director Finance & Account Aid at KADGIS from 2019 to 2023. Afterwards, he became a substantive Director in 2023. In 2024, he was elevated to the position of Director Treasury Operations at the Office of the Accountant General Kaduna State, a position he held until his current appointment.
While congratulating the new Accountant General on his appointment, Governor Uba Sani also challenged Musa Illallah to rededicate himself to his current assignment, in order to continue with the effective and efficient financial management that Kaduna State Government is known for.
