Office Overview

The Governor’s office is responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch and MDAs. As the state leader, the governor advances and pursues new and revised policies and programs using various tools, including executive orders and budgets and legislative proposals and vetoes.

Our Governor

Uba Sani

Senator Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State is a renown civil rights activist, frontline politician, development worker, social entrepreneur, philanthropist and accomplished businessman. In the 9th Senate, he represented Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone and headed the strategic Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions. He was formerly a Special Adviser (Political and Intergovernmental Affairs) to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State. He also served as a Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, and Special Adviser (Political) to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He holds the Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Calabar, a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration from University of Abuja, and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Kaduna Polytechnic. He founded the Uba Sani Foundation devoted to entrepreneurship and skills acquisition for youths, women and the underprivileged.

An entrepreneur of repute, he established and successfully built businesses in telecommunications and estate management. He has skills in strategic management, public policy research and analysis, image management, network and coalition building, and legislative and human rights advocacy.

He holds the traditional title of Ezi – Enyi Ndigbo (True Friend of the Igbos). He is married with children.
