PROTOCOLS
I am extremely delighted to be in the midst of the good people of Rafin Guza. This is one of the most populated and peaceful communities in Kaduna North Local Government and a stronghold of our great party, the APC. I also acknowledge the uncommon collective spirit usually exhibited by the great people of this unique community.
2. You may recall that I was here sometime last year to perform the groundbreaking of this important road. It therefore brings me immense joy to be here once again, but this time to commission this historic road project. This road is not merely stretches of asphalt; it is a pathway to opportunity, connection, and a better quality of life for our people.
3. At my inauguration as Governor on 29th May 2023, I made a solemn pledge to the good people of Kaduna State that I will spread development to all parts of the state. by embarking on infrastructure upgrades in rural and urban areas. One of the critical infrastructures we have prioritised is road infrastructure.
4. In the last two years, we have committed ourselves to the rapid transformation of our rural and urban communities through massive infrastructural development, revival and revitalization of the health and educational sectors, frontally fighting poverty, and strengthening our partnership with security forces to secure our dear state. I must state with all sense of humility and modesty that despite huge challenges, we have continued to deliver on our promises and mandate. We have recorded remarkable achievements in key sectors.
5. In the area of road infrastructure, we have performed the groundbreaking for the construction of 79 roads totalling 780 kilometres across the three senatorial districts of Kaduna State. So far, 25 road projects have been commissioned. The remaining ones are in various stages of completion. These projects have been strategically planned to enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents, farmers, and other road users in the State.
6. This reconstructed 6km asphaltic road from Rafin Guza to Hayin Na’iya to Malalin Gabas to Kukumake, linking the existing ongoing road construction at KASU Permanent Site is very strategic. It connects Kaduna North to Igabi LGAs. This road will not only facilitate smoother transportation but also enhance the security of the areas it traverses. The road will also boost commerce and foster greater social interaction and integration among communities in Kaduna North and Igabi LGAs.
7. Today’s commissioning symbolises the progress we are making together as a community and reflects our collective aspirations for a better tomorrow. I therefore urge all stakeholders—community leaders, local government officials, and citizens—to take ownership of this road. Let us work together to ensure it is well maintained and utilised to its fullest potential.
8. In conclusion, I would like to express my profound gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality, from the engineers and construction workers to the planners and policymakers. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and today, we reap the rewards of your efforts.
9. It is now my honour and privilege to officially commission the 6km asphaltic road from Rafin Guza to Hayin Na’iya to Malalin Gabas to Kukumake, linking the existing ongoing road construction at KASU Permanent Site. May it serve our people well and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of Kaduna State.
Thank you, and God bless you all.
