Governor Uba Sani, Commissioned Township Road in Kagarko local Governments Area

REMARKS BY THE GOVERNOR OF KADUNA STATE, H.E. SEN. DR. UBA SANI AT THE COMMISSIONING OF KAGARKO TOWNSHIP ROAD INITIATED AND COMPLETED BY HIS ADMINISTRATION ON MONDAY, THE 25TH OF MAY 2025 PROTOCOLS I am very happy to be here to share with the good people of Kagarko the joy of this momentous occasion. It is indeed a day of joy because this area has suffered neglect by successive administrations. It is sad to note that Kagarko Local Government has not benefited from a completed one-kilometre road project for the past ten years. 2. You may recall that we commenced the construction of this Kagarko Township Road three (3) months ago. It therefore brings me immense joy to be here to commission this important infrastructure. This road is not merely a stretch of asphalt but a pathway to opportunity, connection, and a better quality of life for our people. 3. At my inauguration as Governor on 29th May 2023, I made a solemn pledge to the good people of Kaduna State that I will spread development to all parts of the state by embarking on comprehensive renewal and regeneration of infrastructure. One of the critical infrastructures we have prioritised is road infrastructure. Well-constructed roads are the backbone of economic activity, enhancing transportation, connecting people and businesses, and connecting farmers and citizens to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. 4. I am pleased to inform you that in fulfilment of our administration’s commitment to prioritising infrastructural development across all parts of Kaduna State, we have embarked on various developmental projects in both urban and rural areas. We have performed the groundbreaking for the construction of 79 roads totalling 780 kilometres across the three senatorial districts of Kaduna State. These projects have been strategically planned to enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents, farmers, and other road users in the State. So far, 25 road projects have been completed. The remaining ones are progressing steadily. 5. Today’s commissioning symbolises the progress we are making together as a community and reflects our collective aspirations for a better tomorrow. I therefore urge all stakeholders—community leaders, local government officials, and citizens—to take ownership of this road. Let us work together to ensure it is well-maintained and utilised to its fullest potential. This road is not just for transportation; it is a conduit for economic growth, social interaction, and community development. 6. In conclusion, I would like to express my profound gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality; from the engineers and construction workers to the planners and policymakers. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and today, we reap the rewards of your efforts. 7. It is now my honour and privilege to officially commission the Kagarko Township road. May it serve our people well and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of Kaduna State. Thank you, and God bless you all.
