- Policy formulation and coordination of housing and urban development matters in the state.
- Construction and maintenance of public buildings
- Address the Housing needs of the state.
- Provide and enforce development control approvals of layouts, buildings and other urban planning and urban renewal projects
- Promote and protect green areas.
- Ensure the provision and maintenance of parks and recreational facilities in urban and rural areas.
